How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your data (journal entries, favorites, preferences) is permanently erased. This action is irreversible.

How do I move my data to another device?

Settings → Back up account with email. After adding your email, you can sign in on another device with the same email + a 6-digit code sent to you. All your data will sync.

The widget isn't updating

Who chooses the quotes? Is it AI?

No. All quotes are hand-picked; each one's source and attribution is verified. We do not use AI-generated content — because we don't want to risk fabricated attributions.

How is the "for you" quote chosen?

Your onboarding choices and in-app behavior (favorites, skips, reads) determine your daily one quote a day. The algorithm is deterministic — the same quote stays for the entire day, and is recalculated the next day based on your current scores.

Can I suggest a quote?

Of course. Send the quote text, attribution, and source to . Verified suggestions are added to our corpus.

I noticed an error / wrong attribution

Let us know: . We take attribution errors very seriously and verify + correct them.

Can I change the font?

Yes. Settings → Typeface lets you try 4 different fonts: Lora, Crimson Pro, EB Garamond, Inter. Your choice syncs across all devices (if you've signed in with email).

Is there a dark mode?

Yes. The app automatically follows your device's system theme (iOS and Android).

Is the app free?

Yes, PhiJo is free. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

All your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). See the Privacy Policy for details.
